I am so thankful for the new writing group I joined a few weeks ago. We meet in Largo at the Starbucks on Walsingham Rd. The group is very eclectic and we all have our own unique styles. We work with two prompts per meeting and on consecutive weeks, we share our writing, other times, we work on things we are currently working on. The people are so great and I am thankful for their being there.

I have been rather down in the dumps lately. Following the death of my mother, my dad is rapidly following. Too bad that we never really bonded together, but following my coming out, he always resented my outspokenness. Dad is going through the last stage of Shakespeare’s beautiful monologue, “All the World’s a Stage” from As You Like It spoken by Jacques.

On a brighter note, I have started working on a new play and have decided to post some of my stories on this web site, so keep your eyes pealed for some new additions to the blog.

Thanks for reading. Please feel free to make any comments on my work or the personal aspect of my blog.

“QUEER!!!!” my one-man show opens tomorrow night for a one-night performance at The City of Imagination, 2726 54th Street South, in Gulfport, Florida. I have rewritten a lot of the show from its original version which I had done at the Lehigh Valley Story Festival in 2008. For one thing, I am not as angry as I was when I first wrote the piece and things have changed a lot with regards to Queer politics and my life experiences.

It’s going to be a great show, so, if you’re in the area of Gulfport, Florida, come.

Tonight, I am going to Wordier Than Thou, an open mic night of short fiction and storytelling. I’m going to be reading my short story, “Some Dance to Remember,” which was inspired by an incident in John Berendt’s book, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.” I also submitted the story to the Wordier Than Thou ‘Zine, scheduled to be published later this year.

Anyway, thanks for reading my blog. Wish me luck. I’m going to need it.

I found this online and wanted to share it with the readers of my blog. Enjoy.

I’m very excited to announce that my one-man show QUEER!!!! will have a one-night run at The City of Imagination, 2726 54th Street South in Gulfport, Florida on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 7 p.m. This is the night before Pride in St. Petersburg and I hope some of you who are reading this will come to see it. It’s a great little space and very intimate, making it the perfect place for this one-man show.

QUEER!!!! tells the story of a fabulous Queer-identified man who describes the trials and tribulations of being Queer in America. From the 1970s to the present, QUEER!!!! holds no punches and is painfully honest.

I performed it at the Lehigh Storytelling Festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 2008 and was well received.

I hope to see you there. If you come, please stay and say hi to me and let me know what you thought.
